Customer Relationship Summary (Form CRS).
Light Horse Securities Inc is a member of
FINRA
and
SIPC. SIPC protects against the loss of cash and securities – such
as stocks and bonds – held by a customer at a
financially-troubled SIPC-member brokerage firm. The limit of SIPC
protection is $500,000, which includes a $250,000 limit for cash. An
explanatory brochure is available upon request or at
www.sipc.org.
SIPC only protects the custody function of the broker-dealer, which
means that SIPC works to restore to customers the securities and money
that are in their accounts when the brokerage firm liquidation begins.
SIPC does not protect against the decline in value of your securities.
SIPC does not protect individuals who are sold worthless stocks and
other securities. SIPC does not cover claims against a broker for bad
investment advice or recommending inappropriate investments.
Clearing, execution and settlement of securities transactions is
provided by Apex Clearing Corp. Apex Clearing Corp has purchased an
additional insurance policy. The coverage limits provide protection
for securities and cash up to an aggregate of $150 million, subject to
maximum limits of $37.5 million for any one customer's securities and
$900,000 for any one customer's cash. Similar to SIPC protection, this
additional insurance does not protect against a loss in the market
value of securities.
Investments involve risk; past performance does not represent future
results. Diversification may help spread risk but does not protect in
a down market. You may lose all of your investment. Investors should
consider their investment objectives and goals before investing. No
information on this website, trading platform, or our mobile
application should be regarded as an offer to buy or sell a particular
type of security, solicit an offer, or open a brokerage account in any
jurisdiction where Light Horse Securities Inc is not registered to do
business. Investors should do their own research before making an
investment decision.
Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for all
investors. Participants can quickly lose the entire value of their
investment and may incur a permanent loss if positions move
unfavorably by the expiration date. In certain circumstances, losses
may even exceed the initial amount invested. Investors must complete
an options trading application and receive approval before engaging in
options activity on eligible accounts. Prior to trading, please review
the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options (ODD) to fully
understand the obligations and potential consequences of options
strategies. Carefully consider your financial situation, risk
tolerance, and investment objectives before deciding to trade options.
Substantial risks are involved with electronic trading. System
glitches, website and server downtime, and other technical errors may
occur that can affect the trading ability and system performance.
Please consider all the risks involved with trading before making an
investment decision. Before making an investment decision, investors
should be aware of the technical troubles. Access to Electronic
Services and system performance may be limited or unavailable during
peak demand, market volatility, systems upgrade, maintenance, or other
reasons.
Before investing, please read through our Risk Disclosure and Terms
and Conditions. It is essential that you fully understand the risks
involved in trading securities on margin. Please read the Margin
